Born in 1946 in Paris. He studied at the Faculty of Painting of the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Gdańsk (currently the Academy of Fine Arts)) in the Painting Studio of Prof. Jacek Żuławski and the Artistic Ceramics Studio of Prof. Hanna Żuławska, obtaining his diploma in 1972.
Leider’s versatile body of work encompasses easel and mural painting, graphic arts, sculpture, and He also writes poetry and short stories.
His unique pieces — particularly ceramic bowls, vases featuring face and bird motifs, and expressive pastels — regularly appear at prestigious pre-auction exhibitions at the DESA Unicum and Agra-Art auction houses.
He has participated in over 300 exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including "Yannick Leider RETRO" at the ZPAP Gallery in Gdańsk (2012) and "L'art singulier de Yannick Leider à l'honneur" at the Galerie du Losange in Grenoble (2016).
His works are held in numerous public and private collections, such as the Musée International de la Parfumerie (International Perfume Museum) in Grasse, France; the collections of the Paris auction house Hôtel Drouot; the Kunst und Keramiek gallery in Deventer, Netherlands; and the Regional Museum in Barlinek.
Since 2003, he has been permanently living and creating in Grenoble, France.
