Ma³gorzata ET BER Warlikowska Graduated from the Graphic Arts Faculty of the State School of Fine Arts (presently, the E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design) in Wroc³aw, Poland, extended with the painting and ceramics annex, 1996. Employed there in the Studio of Serigraphy at the Printmaking Department since 1997. Since 2012 she has been running the Studio of Printmaking Expansion at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Media Art. In 2005 she received a doctoral degree; currently she serves as a professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Media Art. Received an academic scholarship in the University of Akron, Ohio, USA, 2000. Nominated for the "Polityka" Passport (Paszport "Polityki") in the field of visual arts, Poland, 2003. She has received several awards and honorary mentions, among others one of the three major awards in the 11th Józef Gielniak Graphic Arts Competition, Jelenia Góra, Poland, 2003; the 1st Honorary Mention at the Grand Prix of Young Polish Print, the International Print Triennial, Kraków, Poland, 2003. She has participated in over 60 solo exhibitions in Poland, USA, Germany, Sweden, and Lithuania; among others: "LALOPATHY", the exhibition accompanying the International Print Triennial, BB Gallery, Kraków, 2006; "Face Washing" and "Eating Marilyn Monroe", BWA Glass and Ceramics Gallery, BWA Awangarda Gallery, Wroc³aw, 2014. She participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and competitions in Poland, Japan, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain, Ukraine, Lithuania, Italy, Bulgaria, the South Korea, Denmark, UK, USA, China, Romania, Turkey, Slovenia, Portugal, Hungary, Belgium, Australia, Latvia and Russia. She also participated in the "Animal Planet" exhibition, "Play with Glass" – European Glass Festival, Wroc³aw, 2014. Her works are exhibited in many public and private collections in Poland and abroad. She creates with her artist friend, Anka XY Mierzejewska, the artistic group "Old Banana". They organise performances in social spaces. Her works are in serigraph, linocut, serigraph on ceramics, ceramic sculpture, and painting. She often uses combinations of these techniques. 2014 |
